Regeneration and Conditioning of Electrodes

Our services include the unique ability to regenerate and upgrade aged, already dysfunctional electrochemical electrodes, including laboratory, field, and online versions.

Detailed Services:

• Glass pH Electrodes:
  • Cleaning clogged ceramic diaphragms
  • Cleaning fixed ground-joint diaphragms
  • Releasing blocked removable ground-joint diaphragms
  • Renewing chloride coating on internal Ag/AgCl reference electrodes
  • Restoring asymmetry potential (including even polymer or gel-filled types, too)
  • Cleaning pH-glass membrane surfaces with HCl/Pepsin mixture
  • Surface etching of pH-glass membranes using HF solution
• Ion-Selective Electrodes:
  • Polishing crystal membrane surfaces
  • Re-enriching active material on PVC ISE membrane surfaces with exposing to solvent vapor
  • Surface etching of Na-glass membranes using HF solution, then conditioning with NaOH sol.
• Noble Metal Electrodes:
  • Surface cleaning with nitric acid pickling and then conditioning
• Conductivity Cells:
  • Chemical surface cleaning with undiluted nitric acid
  • Cleaning with organic solvents (both polar and apolar)
• KF Coulometric Generator and Indicator Electrodes:
  • Chemical surface cleaning with undiluted nitric acid
• Dissolved Oxygen Electrodes:
  • Cathode cleaning by polishing
  • Cathode cleaning with nitric acid pickling

Our Expertise:

Our engineering team’s expertise comes from past R&D projects at RADELKIS, where some of our team members developed new electrode types. This experience underpins our ability to provide top-notch electrode regeneration services.

Service Process:

We collect used electrodes during regular partner visits or receive them via parcel post. Upon receiving electrodes in poor condition, we diagnose them in our laboratory and use appropriate treatments (primarily chemical, but sometimes mechanical) to restore them to near-original condition. Successfully regenerated electrodes come with a final chemical conformity assessment record and a uniform 6-month warranty (excluding breakage).

If an electrode cannot be successfully regenerated, it will be returned to the owner at no charge.
